Overview And Experience
Colin was born and raised in Winnipeg. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Studies in 2015 and a Master of Arts degree in Political Studies in 2018. His interest in criminal law quickly developed upon him becoming part of the University of Manitoba Community Law Centre throughout law school where he assisted individuals charged with summary conviction offences and offences under the Highway Traffic Act. He graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2020 with a Juris Doctor degree and articled with Smith Corona Van Dongen & Cook prior to receiving his call to the Bar of Manitoba in 2021. He continues to practice with the firm as an associate, primarily in the area of criminal law. He is a fearless advocate who will defend individuals charged with any offence, and someone who prides himself on hard work and accessibility to his clients. Outside of the courtroom, Colin enjoys volunteering at Winnipeg Harvest, cooking, playing the piano, and spending time at the cabin.
